Academic Engagement Committee

The mission of the Academic Engagement Committee is to foster and develop a faculty and alumni partnership to enhance the academic excellence of the Law School, including both the quality of student learning achieved and the quality of faculty research produced.

Student Affairs Committee

The mission of the Student Affairs Committee is to engage students in the affairs of the Law School and the broader legal community and provide counsel on student affairs.

Alumni Relations & Community Engagement Committee

The mission of the Alumni Relations & Community Engagement Committee is to develop lifelong relationships with key stakeholders — including alumni, friends, and community partners — by promoting interaction with and among stakeholders; highlighting alumni achievements; and providing stakeholders with opportunities to serve and interact with the Law School, its faculty, its students, and its other alumni. The Law School, through the Alumni Relations & Community Engagement Committee of the Board, will strive to meaningfully engage 100% of its alumni, future alumni, friends, and community partners in social, intellectual, research, fundraising, or public-service endeavors.

Development Committee

The mission of the Development Committee is to assist the Advancement Staff in establishing a strong culture of giving among alumni and increasing private support for the Law School.

Governance and Nominating Committee

The Governance and Nominating Committee's mission is to ensure an appropriate and effective role for the Board in advising the Dean, faculty and staff of the Law School. The Committee’s focus is on the overall design and composition of the Board, its processes, and the manner in which it will evaluate itself. This Committee has the primary responsibility for seeking and attracting candidates who can be effective Advisors for the organization. The Committee is accountable for developing additional documentation to delineate the Board’s processes for providing recommendations the Board and for electing new members.
