Susan Gainen
Susan came to the CPDC in 1992 after nearly seven years as a Legal Recruiter in Baltimore and Washington DC, a year of law practice in Maryland, and ten years in sales in the food business and the car business in California. She has been an active member of the National Association for Law Placement, Minnesota Women Lawyers, and the Minnesota and Hennepin County Bar Associations, and remains licensed to practice in Maryland. She is now a confirmed Minnesotan, having won several blue ribbons for miniature needlepoint rugs at the Minnesota State Fair. She also earned the blue ribbon for Cherry Porter Barbecue Sauce in 2004.

Steven Marchese
Steve joined the CPDC in June 2003 after ten years as a practicing lawyer. Steve received his B.A. from Yale University in 1988 and his J.D. from New York University in 1993. Immediately following law school, he clerked for Judge Wayne Alley of the U.S. District Court in Oklahoma City, OK and Justice Charles Levin of the Michigan Supreme Court in Detroit, MI. Steve has worked as a litigator for major law firms in Michigan, upstate New York, and Minnesota. On the academic side, Steve taught clinic courses and legal writing as a Legal Writing Professor at Syracuse University College of Law from 1999 to 2001. Besides counseling students and developing relationships with employers, Steve oversees the CPDC's public interest, judicial clerkship and government careers programming.

Vic Massaglia
Vic joined the CPDC in August 2005. He previously was an Associate Director of Learning and Development, Center for Business Excellence, at the University of Saint Thomas (UST) College of Business. Vic has over 20 years of experience in coaching, training, and communication. He also was a career counselor for UST Graduate Business Career Services. He served for the United States Air Force for nine and a half years as a personnel administrator. Vic holds a degree in English education from the University of Minnesota – Mankato as well as a master’s degree in human resource development from the University of Saint Thomas.
