International Law – 6602

Fall 2013

The course is an introduction to public international law. It will examine the sources and history of the law of nations, and concepts of jurisdiction and conflicts of jurisdiction of nation states. It will also provide a brief survey of the law of international organizations (including the United Nations) international economic law, international environmental law, international protection of human rights, dispute resolution, and the control of the use of force (including peacekeeping, war crimes, and related topics).
