Description:
Issues of corporate finance dominate American business and often personal decision-making. Few are not at least curious about how the stock market is performing and why merger and acquisition activity is booming. This course introduces students to fundamental principles of modern corporate finance. Specifically, the course provides a survey of issues and concepts such as: net present value, valuing bonds and stocks, capital market theory and the capital asset pricing model, the efficient capital markets hypothesis, capital structure, dividend policy, accessing the private and public debt and equity markets, options and mergers and acquisitions.
