Description:
Physical Evidence/Expert Witnesses includes: consideration of fourth amendment and evidentiary issues related to the acquisition and presentation of forensic evidence; consideration of tactical and strategic issues related to the preparation and presentation of the forensic expert witness; presentations by select forensic experts (e.g., experts in computer forensics, eye-witness identification, arson, fingerprints, firearms and tool marks); an overview of how expert witnesses are portrayed by the media. Grades are based on a paper-or-presentation option. (Neither Evidence nor Criminal Procedure is not a prerequisite for this class.)
