Description:LAW AND INEQUALITY was founded by Catherine MacKinnon in 1982, and publishes twice per year. The articles in its issues explore the topics suggested in its title. In addition, the editors and staff will host a live symposium at the Law School next spring. Second-year staff write their own piece and participate in cite checking other authors' work. LAW AND INEQUALITY selects its 25-member second-year staff based on the quality of writing and a personal interview. Grades are not considered. Applicants must submit a personal statement and either a petition or an alternative work. Those choosing the alternative writing option may submit pieces such as judicial opinions, detailed paper proposals, poems, stories, and songs. |
