The course addresses a variety of legal issues relating to patent litigation, including choice of law, personal jurisdiction, subject matter jurisdiction, venue, declaratory judgment actions, Rule 11, specificity of infringement allegations in the complaint, claim construction evidence and hearings, infringement theories in the litigation context, principal affirmative defenses used in litigation, injunctions, damages, willfulness, and other legal issues.
