Description:This course addresses rules governing civil litigation, with emphasis on rules applicable in federal district courts. Topics may include due process, pleading, joinder, discovery, case management, the relationship between judges and juries, settlement, alternative dispute resolution, summary judgment, post-trial motions, finality, and preclusion. The course will also provide a brief survey of the topics covered in Civil Procedure II. |
