See Academic Rule 6.
Students are informed in writing of their placement on probationary status after all grades for the preceding academic year have been entered, and no later than August 15th. If a student is placed on probation, the student should initiate a meeting with the Assistant Dean of Students to devise an Academic Probation Plan, which clearly establishes the requirements for the student’s continued enrollment. If the student does not meet with the Assistant Dean of Students after notice of placement on academic probation and prior to the start of the up-coming Fall semester, the student may be permanently dismissed from the Law School.
If a student fails to comply with probationary requirements during the probationary period, and does not successfully complete repeated required coursework, the student will be dismissed from the Law School. Students may consult with the Assistant Dean of Students about a petition for relief from dismissal under Rule 6.5.
