Academic Success Plan

When a student in good standing nonetheless exhibits significant difficulty meeting academic requirements, including regular class attendance, meeting deadlines, obtaining satisfactory grades, and other conduct that parallels requirements for character and fitness in law practice, the student may be encouraged to confer with the Assistant Dean of Students to devise a voluntary Academic Success Plan. While not disciplinary in nature, the Academic Success Plan is individually designed to provide a struggling student with appropriate structure and support to address underlying problems and improve performance. Successful compliance with an Academic Success Plan may later be considered as evidence of rehabilitation from past conduct issues that might have otherwise prevented a student from establishing character and fitness to practice law.
