Student Organizations Resources

At the University of Minnesota Law School, we make it easy for students to join, lead, and form new student organizations. With support and advising from the Student Programs Office, law student groups help our future attorneys explore professional interests with area alumni and practitioners, forge connections with peers of all backgrounds, and serve the Law School and greater community.

While students’ primary role is to learn the law, involvement in student organizations can help develop critical professional competencies – organization, leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving. To help students initiate and execute successful programs, the Student Programs Office has compiled comprehensive web-based guides and forms available to all students, and provides strategic advising to Law Council and student leaders.
