How do communities heal from injustice? This question was at the heart of a February 2013 trip to Duluth organized by the Humphrey Fellowship Program at the University of Minnesota Law School and Human Rights Center. Humphrey Fellows traveled to Duluth to witness the harm caused by racial injustice, human trafficking, and poverty, as well as community attempts to repair that harm.

The University of Minnesota Law School's Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court team, composed of Kayleigh Brown (’13), Andrew Gross (’13), Liz Scoggin (’13), Carl Spindler (’13), and Frank White (’14), took first place in the Rocky Mountain Regional tournament in Denver, earning a qualifying spot for the international competition.
The International Law Society is organizing a "Books for Africa" Book Drive now through Friday, April 19, 2013. Donation boxes are located on the subplaza and in the Law Library lobby. All book are welcomed.
On Sunday, April 21, 2013, the 2012-13 Hubert H. Humphrey Law Fellows will celebrate their upcoming graduation. Members of the Human Rights Center and the fellows will attend the graduation celebration in Auerbach Commons from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
The 2013 Law School Commencement will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Mariucci Arena, 1901 4th Street SE, Minneapolis, on the East Bank campus. Governor Mark Dayton will present the commencement address.
The LL.M. graduation party will be held immediately after the graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 18, 2013, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. An elegant lunch at the University of Minnesota's Campus Club will be provided, and LL.M. students are encouraged to invite their family and friends to celebrate a productive year and bid each other farewell. The Campus Club is located on the fourth floor of Coffman Memorial Union, 300 Washington Avenue SE.
