In fiscal year 2009-10, nearly 1,900 alumni donors contributed almost $700,000 to the Law School’s Partners in Excellence Annual Fund. The Law School needs your partnership again in 2010-11! Annual gifts from alumni and friends of the Law School, like you, support everything from student scholarships to faculty hiring, library resources, clinics, journals, student organizations and much more! Contributions of all sizes make a difference and are needed more than ever as we work to close the gap created by the precipitous decline of state funding over the past few years.
The Law School’s 2010 Partners at Work challenge ended June 30, 2010, with impressive results. Just under 900 alumni at 31 organizations participated in the challenge this year.
The University of Minnesota Law School has received a $2 million gift from the Robina Foundation, extending its support of the Law School's Program on Law, Public Policy, and Society (LaPPS).
2012 graduate Matthew Haus is the inaugural recipient of the Professor Bruno H. Greene and Blanche Green Scholarship, established by Josephine Bachmann (’61) to honor her parents. Professor Greene taught comparative law and negotiable instruments and as Director of the Law Library built one of the country’s strongest foreign and international law collections.
