Kendra Magraw ('10) has been accepted into the Master in International Law program at the distinguished Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva. Only about 25 students are admitted to the two-year master's program each year.
The Law School welcomed graduates and their families for the 2010 Student Awards Ceremony, held at 3 p.m. May 14 in Lockhart Hall. The event acknowledged outstanding student achievement among those in the Class of 2010, prior to the May 15 Commencement.
Sara Wilkinson ('10) received a second-place award from Law Students For Reproductive Justice (LSRJ.org) for a paper entitled, "Redefining 'Life' in the Mexican Abortion Debate."
Law School students Lauren Beach and Jennifer Cornell have been selected as this year's recipients of the Mary A. McEvoy Award for Public Engagement and Leadership, given annually to one graduate and one professional student for contributions that are clearly beyond the norm in scholarship, research, and community concerns. They are the first Law School students to receive the honor.
