Many elements in the excellent education our students receive would not be possible without the generosity of alumni and friends of the Law School. Gifts to the Partners in Excellence Annual Fund support scholarships, the clinics, journals, student organizations, and more, and help us hire and retain the very best faculty.
Having lost nearly all funding from the State of Minnesota, the Law School now relies more than ever on the ongoing support of people like you. Gifts of all sizes make a difference. Please consider making a tax-deductible gift to the Partners in Excellence Annual Fund before the tax year ends.
In 1945, James H. Michael ('47) was a member of the 42nd “Rainbow” Infantry Division that liberated prisoners at the Dachau concentration camp. Recently he established the James H. Michael Scholarship to help support students interested in global human rights and international affairs, one way that he continues to support human rights. Matthew Webster ('11) is the inaugural recipient and tells here what the scholarship and meeting Mr. Michael mean to him.
