Bertil WimanVisiting Professor of LawUniversity of Uppsala, J.D., Ph.D. Professor Bertil Wiman (LL.M. ’83) is a professor of fiscal law at Sweden's Uppsala University, is director of the research foundation the Uppsala Center for Tax Law, and holds a J.D. and a Ph.D. from the University of Uppsala. His doctoral thesis focused on transfer pricing, including a comparison of U.S. and Swedish rules. His primary teaching and research interests are domestic and international aspects of corporate taxation, and he has published articles on European Union tax law, international tax, and taxation of groups of companies. He is a visiting professor for spring 2013. Wiman has been a Fulbright scholar (1982-83) and visiting scholar (1987) at the University; a visiting scholar at the University of Munich (1993-94); and a visiting professor at Georgetown University Law Center (2001-02, 2004-05), the Vienna University for Economics and Business (2007, 2010), and the University of Florida, Gainesville (spring 2008, spring 2012). He also has lectured at numerous universities worldwide. Wiman currently serves as president of the European Association of Tax Law Professors, on the executive committee of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), and on the board of the Swedish Branch of the IFA.
