Law Clinic Helps Deliver Dream

The Academic and Corporate Relations Center (ACRC) was created to help connect the business community with the vast expertise and technology available at the University. Innovator Jagi Gill had tapped into the University pool for its resources and assistance before, but the idea he presented in 2006 has grown into the newly formed medical device company, Nesos Health LLC.

First, a team of six graduate engineering and business students in the New Product Design and Business Development Program helped Gill work out a prototype and a business plan. ACRC then sent him to the Kommerstad Center’s Business Law Clinic. There, under the supervision of volunteer attorney Jon Tynjala (class of 1995), students Katrina Hammell and Tony Jones (both class of 2007) wrote articles of organization and bylaws and got Gill on the road to forming a limited liability company.
