Law School Announces New Dean

David Wippman, Professor of Law and Vice Provost for Int'l Relations at Cornell, has been named dean of the Law School. Provost Sullivan calls Wippman "an eminent scholar" and "a trusted and collegial leader."

Mathisens Endow $1 Million Scholarship

Dennis Mathisen ('66) and Gail Mathisen have created a $1 million endowment fund at the Law School. It will aid promising new law students in need of financial assistance.

Law School Tops $29,000 for Charity

This fall, the U's Community Fund Drive raised more than $1.15M for MN charities, with $29,438 from Law School faculty and staff. A 56.63% participation rate ranked the Law School 2nd in its size category.

Quereshi Named Skadden Fellow

Ajmel Quereshi (’07) is the first U of M Law School student to receive the prestigious Skadden Fellowship, which will support his work at the ACLU of Maryland challenging anti-immigration proposals across the state.
