With the end of the fiscal year approaching, the Law School is very close to meeting the Partners in Excellence Annual Fund goal. Although annual giving is up 45% from last year, the $750,000 goal has not been reached. Alumni Relations is asking 200 new donors to step up and donate $1 to meet that goal. Greater participation from alumni donors is also one of the factors used to determine national Law School rankings.

The Law Student Computing Services (LSCS) office has received an outstanding performance award for its laptop repair services. The award was bestowed by Lenovo, formerly IBM’s Personal Computing Division, which has been a primary provider of the student laptops for several years.

Since 1983, the law schools of the University of Minnesota and Uppsala University in Sweden have exchanged faculty and students. The program gives Minnesotans an opportunity to study international, comparative, and European community law and to meet law students and faculty from all over Europe.

An exhibition entitled "A Voice of Wisdom, Compassion, and Hope: A Celebration of the Life and Career of Walter F. Mondale" continues in the University of Minnesota Law School's Riesenfeld Rare Books Research Center at the Law Library. The University of Minnesota community and the public are invited to view the exhibition.
