"Bidder 70" Screening

When: 12:15 PM - 1:24 PM
Where: Room 65
More Info: What does it mean to be a criminal? In 2008, Tim DeChristopher disrupted a controversial auction of oil and gas leases on federal lands near Canyonlands National Park by registering as a bidder and purchasing over 22,000 acres he had no way to pay for. Within two months, he was indicted on two federal felonies and facing ten years in prison. The response of DeChristopher and his fellow activists to the threat of his incarceration calls in to question who is a criminal, who is a patriot, and how we decide.
