End-of-Year Giving Ramping Up

JUNE 21, 2012—The Law School is fast approaching the end of its fiscal year on June 30, 2012, and the 2012 deadline for contributions to the Partners in Excellence Annual Fund. The goals for this year's campaign are to raise $1 million for the first time in the history of the Law School, and to reach 20% annual giving participation. Increasing alumni participation to broaden our base of supporters and building unrestricted funding to better handle our changing funding model are key priorities for the Law School this year and going forward as part of the GENERATIONS campaign.

The Partners at Work organizational giving program is underway, and we are proud to announce that three organizations already have 100% participation. O'Melveny & Myers, led by Carl Erik Heiberg (’06), reached 100% for the second year in a row. Kaplan Strangis & Kaplan, led by Harvey Kaplan (’64), hit 100% in its first year in the program. And Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, led by Rachel Brass (’01), was the first of the 27 organizations employing ten or more alumni to hit 100% participation. A special thank you to those firms, and to the additional 35 participating firms and organizations.

If you would like to help the Law School meet its goals, you can do so online at www.giving.umn.edu/law or by contacting Evan Johnson in the Office of Advancement at 612-625-6584 or evanj@umn.edu.
