Michael Best & Friedrich First to Meet 100%
in the 2009 "Partners at Work" Challenge

JUNE 15, 2009—For the second consecutive year, Michael Best & Friedrich, LLP is the first organization to achieve 100% participation in the University of Minnesota Law School's Partners at Work challenge.

K. Thor Lundgren ('74) has been the firm's representative for the past two years and has been an active volunteer, working with the Law School's alumni relations and annual giving staff to educate and motivate alumni colleagues to meet the challenge.

A growing number of law firms, courts, and businesses employ multiple Law School alumni. Partners at Work was formed to encourage alumni support and acknowledge firms and organizations employing at least five Law School graduates that achieve 100% participation by alumni in the University of Minnesota’s annual fund campaign. At present, more than 900 alumni and 32 employers participate in the program.

Partners at Work gives alumni an opportunity to make a difference collectively and through matching gift programs on behalf of their organization. In addition, it strengthens alumni networks, signals alumni satisfaction with their school and their education, and demonstrates alumni commitment and professional gratitude.

We are pleased to recognize Michael Best & Friedrich and thank its Law School graduates for their support. The firm's five offices in Wisconsin and Illinois employ approximately 230 attorneys, who provide wide-ranging business legal services to clients across the nation and the globe.

Alumni support is vital to nourish access, excellence, and the rich educational experience for which the Law School is known. For more information on the Partners at Work challenge, contact Marc Peña at 612-624-2167.
