McQuaid Receives University Award for Global Engagement

Dean Charles and Dean Morrison are pleased to announce that Meredith McQuaid, Associate Dean of Administration and International Programs, has been recognized with the University Award for Global Engagement.  The University Award for Global Engagement is presented to faculty and staff members in recognition of outstanding contributions to global education and international programs in their field, discipline or the University.

Dean McQuaid is an ideal recipient of the Global Engagement Award.  She has approached international education with unmatched excitement and enthusiasm.  During her employment at the University, Dean McQuaid has been largely responsible for a series of international achievements.  She has expanded the Law School's LL.M. program for international graduate students from several students to a constant stream of 25 to 30 each year, and created the Introduction to American Law Program to introduce international students to the American legal education system.  Dean McQuaid has also created exchange programs with universities in other countries, including the Law School's newest exchange program at the University of Montevideo in Uruguay. Most significantly, she was behind organizing the Law School’s law program in Beijing.  To read further about Dean McQuaid's contributions to the Law School and the University community, click [here].
