Angela Lageson ('92) Named General Counsel of Pentair Inc.

JUNE 4, 2010—Angela Lageson ('92) has been named general counsel and senior vice president of Pentair, Inc., a Minneapolis-based diversified industrial company with approximately 13,000 employees worldwide. Lageson will replace Louis Ainsworth, Pentair's first general counsel, who plans to retire this summer.

Lageson has served as assistant general counsel at Pentair for the past seven years, a role that allowed her to serve as a leader on corporate governance and compliance issues while working with many of Pentair's business units, including the Water Group. She contributed legal counsel to the company's acquisitions and divestitures, and also headed the structuring of the company's 2008 Residential Filtration joint venture.

As the new head of Pentair's legal department, Lageson's duties will include overseeing any corporate litigation, as well as taking charge of any compliance, regulatory or intellectual property issues.

Randall J. Hogan, Pentair's chairman and CEO, said in a March 15 press statement: "We are very pleased to have a leader with Angela's experience and depth to assume this important leadership role."

After graduating cum laude from the Law School, Lageson served as an associate at Felhaber, Larson, Fenlon & Vogt, and then at Henson & Efron, where she became a partner.
