Welcome Class of 2009!

The Law School welcomes the Class of 2009.  The class includes 255 students from 28 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and 5 foreign countries.

From August 30-September 1, students will participate in orientation activities designed to prepare them for the rigors of law school.  Dean Guy Charles, Dean Fred Morrison, the Honorable Michael Davis, faculty, and staff will welcome the students to the Law School and introduce them to the culture of the University of Minnesota.  Among other things, students will learn about student organizations, the structured study group program, and the Career & Professional Development Center.  Students will be introduced to the expansive law library and gain insight into legal analysis by learning how to brief cases.

New this year, Dean Charles, faculty, staff, and returning students will take the 1L class to the "Great Minnesota Get Together," the Minnesota State Fair.  To view the Orientation activities, click here.
