Degree Options
In addition to the J.D. degree the University of Minnesota Law School offers several degree options for students who are interested in interdisciplinary studies and for lawyers from foreign countries interested in an LL.M. degree.
Joint and dual degree programs allow students to tailor career plans while earning two degrees. Options include the Joint Degree Program in Law, Health & the Life Sciences, as well as programs with the Carlson School of Management, the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, and others.
The University of Minnesota Law School's LL.M. Program provides foreign lawyers with an opportunity to study the U.S. legal system in depth alongside U.S. students. Approximately 40-50 lawyers from around the world participate in the program annually.
