Description:
(The 2 credit seminar runs through the fall semester and 2 credit in the spring. This course begins with a fall writing seminar. This seminar is designed to provide LL.M. students with the opportunity to develop professional writing skills. Students will learn how to draft, edit and complete professional letters, legal memoranda, simple contracts, and basic pleading documents. The focus of fall seminar is writing. We will also spend some time discussing how to prepare for and take law school exams. In the spring semester, students will learn how to apply legal research skills using books and electronic sources. Students will conduct legal research and use the research as the basis of larger writing projects.
