Description:
This course provides an overview of the law of unfair competition and business torts. Topics include false advertising and product disparagement; the right of publicity; trade secret law; common law claims relating to the unauthorized use of uncopyrightable facts and ideas; cybertrespass; tortious interference with contract and with prospective business relations; civil RICO; and federal preemption of state unfair competition laws. The course does not provide comprehensive coverage of antitrust, trademarks or trade dress, or consumer protection law.
