Legal Research and Writing – 6003

Fall: Preparation of written legal analysis through email, letter, and memorandum assignments in a predictive mode. Tutorial instruction in legal analysis and writing in groups of 10 or fewer students. Interactive tutorial instruction in legal research.

Spring: In spring, Legal Research and Writing is combined with a Statutory Interpretation module for 3 credits total. Preparation of legal briefs written in a persuasive mode. Preparation and delivery of formal oral argument. Tutorial instruction in legal analysis, writing, and oral argument in groups of 10 or fewer students. Interactive tutorial instruction in legal research.
