Legal Writing II – 6104

The course begins with four meetings over the first five weeks of the semester (no meeting in Week 1). These meetings will involve multiple short written assignments and a peer review exercise, each of which will give you an opportunity to practice and refine your writing skills with feedback from an instructor. 

Over the next four weeks, the class will not meet, but you will have 3-4 individual conferences with an instructor for feedback on your legal writing II assignments and on a piece of writing you're working on in another course, for example your 2L writing project (either your journal note or your moot court brief.) 

In the next three weeks of the semester, the class will meet twice to practice writing for law school exams. Class meetings will end before Thanksgiving so as not to interfere with Fall Semester exams. The final writing assignment in the course is due toward the end of Winter Break.

The course is taught by experienced adjunct associate professors and 3L student instructors.  Professor Soper oversees the course design and implementation.
