Administrative Law – 6606

Fall 2017

This course will study how federal government agencies make and apply law.  The course will cover a variety of topics, including the legal framework (both constitutional and statutory) that governs administrative action; the role of agencies in interpreting statutory and regulatory law; and judicial review of agency decisions.

Note 1: this course is not open to students who have completed or are enrolled in Legislation and Regulation (6018/6078).  Students who have taken or are taking Legislation and Regulation should instead enroll in Advanced Administrative Law, which Prof. Hickman will teach in Spring 2018.

Note 2: only one section of this course will be offered in 2017-18.
