Each year, the Law School fields a competition team that travels abroad. In 2018-2019, that team is the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. The competition takes place in Vienna, Austria. The goal of the moot is to "foster the study of international commercial law and arbitration for resolution of international business disputes through its application to a concrete problem of a client and to train law leaders of tomorrow in methods of alternative dispute resolution." (vismoot.pace.edu) Participating students write a memoranda between November and February and conduct oral arguments February through March.

The course is open enrollment, waitlist-only. 4 J.D. positions available, and 1 LL.M. position available. In the event of over-enrollment, applications are reviewed by the legal writing director and the course instructor.Â
