Immigration courts around the country have growing backlogs in part because of an extended flow of refugees arriving from Central America.  Many of these refugees speak indigenous languages and accommodating their language needs can be difficult.  Local practitioners will provide a description of issues reported in the Bloomington Immigration court and strategies to overcome these challenges.  This forum will also provide an opportunity to hear from the audience about their language access experiences in immigration court.
