The Binger Center for New Americans will host the 4th Annual Conference of the International Oromo Lawyers Association on July 28, 2017. The conference will explore current legal issues and developments in transnational law focusing on the Oromo of Ethiopia. The event will welcome Oromo lawyers and scholars from the US and Europe to present on multiple issues including human rights litigation, the effect of President Trump's travel ban on Ethiopian immigrants, and legal and political questions surrounding the treatment of the Oromo in Ethiopia.
