Join the Human Rights Center for a conversation and virtual launch recognizing two new, groundbreaking books on the laws of war. Dr Giovanni Mantilla, Lawmaking under Pressure and Dr Craig Jones The War Lawyers will share their work and discuss the role of war lawyers in regulating conflict, the origins and development of the international humanitarian law, and how the rules regulate international and internal armed conflict today. Professor Naz Modirzadeh, Director of the Harvard Law School Program on International Law and Armed Conflict, will moderate this discussion.

This event is hosted by The University of Minnesota’s Human Rights Center and the Department of Political Science.
