Watch the Video

At this Robina In Conversation we will hear from four professionals who handle criminal cases with defendants who experience mental illness. Moderated by Robina Institute Practitioner and former Minnesota State Public Defender, John Stuart, the conversation will include a judge, a probation officer, a prosecutor, and a public defender, all of whom serve the Ramsey County Mental Health Court.

The federal government has designated this court as a “national mentor court,” based on the value their experience has for lawyers, judges, and corrections staff from other courts.  They will focus on what works, better outcomes for offenders with mental illness, and the attitudes and skills that can help practitioners in the mainstream courts have success with these cases.
