Paco de Onis and Pamela Yates will give a crash course on what it means to be a human rights media organization. They will show clips from two of Skylight’s latest projects: 500 years and Dictator in the Dock. Learn from our guests about their model of human rights filmmaking and best practices for collaborations between independent storytellers and movement actors.

Skylight Pictures produces artistic, challenging, and socially relevant media to strengthen human rights and the quest for justice. Since 1981, Skylight has combined the storytelling arts with human rights media strategies in the service of social movements. From the Peruvian Truth and Reconciliation Commission to the International Criminal Court, they tell stories that engage people through a human rights perspective.
