In the Diversity & Belonging Committee's inaugural event in the Minding the Justice Gap Series, Professor Myron Orfield of the Institute on Metropolitan Opportunity will participate in a discussion on School Segregation in the Twin Cities. He will also address timely related topics -- expansion of charter schools, gentrification and other housing issues, higher education's continued reliance on standardized tests -- that contribute to the lack of diversity in American higher education. Students will also learn about opportunities to participate in the work of the Institute on Metropolitan Opportunity.

To learn more about the topics in advance, skim this amicus brief and this law review article. For questions or accommodation requests, contact Navin Ramalingam at ramal025@umn.edu.

Lunch will be provided!
