The Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology will host its 2nd Annual Symposium on March 4, 2016. The symposium will discuss legal implications surrounding the rapidly developing technology of additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing.

The symposium will be an all-day event, from 9:00 A.M to 3:45 P.M., featuring a keynote address by Former General Counsel of Stratasys, Candice Ciresi, and three symposium panels dedicated to the topics of intellectual property law, regulatory and policy issues, and products liability. Each panel will host three to four panelists who are experts in their field.

Today, body parts, pharmaceutical drugs, guns, food, and more can be printed in a matter of hours with the help of 3D printing. While 3D printing is efficient, cost effective, and waste-reducing, it presents legal challenges ranging from intellectual property to products liability issues.
