Bringing extensive experience directly from the field, Kevin Hartigan, Catholic Relief Services' Regional Director for Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia, discusses the challenges of implementing the emergency response and development programs in 20 countries affected by the Syrian refugee crisis.

Co-panelist Damir Utržan, a post-doctoral associate at the University of Minnesota Medical School's Department of Pediatrics, brings a local perspective to the issue looking at how Syrian refugees navigate the asylum process and resettle in the United States. Moderated by Barbara Frey, Director, Human Rights Program, University of Minnesota.
