November’s election results rocked politics in St. Paul, Washington, and abroad. What will January’s transition of power do for local, national, and international economies?  An incoming president and Congress are signaling lower taxes but an incumbent Fed chairwoman is signaling higher interest rates. U.S. workers are banking on campaign promises to bring back thousands of manufacturing jobs from overseas and invest billions in infrastructure at home. But U.S. firms are mulling over campaign threats to impose costly tariffs, and exit long-standing trade and investment agreements. The stakes of a Trump administration and economy are as high as his proposed wall on the U.S.-Mexico border. Your business and investments deserve a clear-eyed view on how to survive and thrive in this new environment.

Panel members include Wealth Enhancement Group’s Jim Cahn, and University of Minnesota Professors Claire Hill of the Law School and Robert Kudrle of the Humphrey School. The event is co-hosted by WCCO’s Dave Lee and Associate Professor Paul Vaaler (pictured).
