Larry McDonough has been a housing litigation attorney for 40 years. He has represented over ten thousand clients and litigated hundreds of cases in state and federal district courts and state appellate courts, and contributed to almost all of the landlord and tenant statutes enacted since 1986.

Larry co-founded Minnesota's Annual Housing Law Institute and authored Residential Eviction Defense and Tenant Claims in Minnesota through many editions, and has written many journal articles on landlord and tenant law. He also has taught at all of the law schools in the Twin Cities, and regularly presents at seminars both in the state and around the country. Larry’s undergraduate degree was in music education from the University of Minnesota. He is a former school band director, and when not practicing and teaching law, he works as a professional musician.
