Mary Georgevich ‘18, joined the law school’s James H. Binger Center for New Americans in September 2019 as an adjunct professor where she supervises law students in representation of noncitizens before federal courts. Georgevich is also a senior litigation attorney with the National Immigrant Justice Center where she represents noncitizens in litigation before federal district courts, circuit courts of appeals, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and immigration courts. Prior to her role as a litigation attorney, she worked as an Equal Justice Works fellow with ILCM, focusing on representation of Somali noncitizens who were detained in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Before her fellowship, Georgevich served as a law clerk for Justice Anne McKeig of the Minnesota Supreme Court. As a law student, she participated in the Binger Center’s Federal Immigration Litigation Clinic as a second-year student, then as a third-year director.
