Paul is Associate General Counsel & Executive Director in the Intellectual Property (IP) Group of the Wells Fargo, where he manages IP strategy leadership and coordination and is responsible for protecting global intellectual property assets of Wells Fargo, with a primary focus on trademark, copyright, advertising, sponsorships, social media and domain name management. He is lead legal strategist for brand marketing and advises on building and deploying large-scale marketing campaigns, including cause marketing initiatives, social media campaigns, regional and national sponsorships, innovation challenges, sweepstakes, contests and other prize promotions. Before Joining Wells Fargo, Paul served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Pearson Education, Inc., responsible for protecting global intellectual property assets of Pearson, its subsidiaries and joint venture partners. Before that, he worked as VP & Senior Counsel for Wells Fargo managing global trademark and copyright matters for numerous lines of business, after starting his career as an Associate with Dorsey & Whitney LLP. Paul is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Law in Minneapolis, MN and a routine speaker on various IP topics.
