Mr. Theophilus Amegatcher
Ghana
Mr. Amegatcher earned his LL.B. from the University of Ghana. He analyzed copyright law in relation to Ghanaian law while working as an Editorial/Research Assistant for the Wuwtoti Chambers in Accra, Ghana. Mr. Amegatcher also sang in the Ghana School of Law Choir. He anticipates studying international law, trade, and investment law.

Mr. Alessandro Borgo
Italy
Mr. Borgo graduated from the Bocconi University Law School of Milan in 2007 and is currently pursuing a master of science in law from the same university focusing on corporate law and economic analysis of law. Prior to joining the LL.M. Program he spent a semester at the University of Minnesota as an exchange student. He has a special interest in law & economics.

Ms. Vanvipa Chouvaparnante
Thailand
Ms. Chouvaparnante earned an LL.M. for foreign law graduates from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She also earned her LL.B. from Thammasat University in Thailand. Ms. Chouvaparnante worked at Samack and Associates Legal Counselors Co., Ltd. in Bangkok, as a corporate transactional attorney. Her goal is to become a judge.

Mr. Lourens de Weert
The Netherlands
Mr. de Weert is studying for both his LL.M. in Law and Management and his M.Sc. in Financial Management at Tilburg University. He earned his LL.B. from the Faculty of Law at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. Mr. de Weert is currently working as a scientific intern for Tilburg University. During his studies, he also worked as an assistant accountant for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. Mr. de Weert is interested in studying law and economics.

Ms. Fei Gao
China
Ms. Gao earned her LL.B. from Nanjing University in China. She worked as an attorney for Tongjiang Law Firm, and she has also been active in providing legal aid. She is interested in studying international business law.

Mr. Junsik Han
Korea
Mr. Han earned his LL.B. from Seoul National University College of Law. He has also taken courses in antitrust law from the Law Research Institute of Seoul National University. Mr. Han worked as the Head of Legal Affairs for LG Household and Health Care Ltd. He played a leading role in LG H&H’s acquisition of Coca Cola Korea Bottling Company Ltd.

Ms. Miao He
China
Ms. He earned her LL.B. from the North China University of Technology. She has clerked for a deputy chief judge on the Supreme People’s Court of China. Ms. He has also clerked for Senator Yehui He. She also was a leader of the Red Cross at her university. Ms. He is interested in studying international law.

Mr. Fabian Hertel
Germany
Mr. Hertel earned his LL.B. from Humbolt University, with a specialization in “European and Internationalization of the Civil and Business Law.” He has interned for the Chief General Counsel of GERLING Group in Cologne, Germany. Mr. Hertel has also studied in Bordeaux, France. He is interested in international law, corporate law, and antitrust law.

Mr. Chien-Chen Huang
Taiwan
Mr. Huang earned his LL.B. from National Taipei University. He has served as a Legal Consultant for the Securities and Futures Bureau, Financial Supervisory Commission in Taiwan. Mr. Huang has also worked as a Public Defender for the Taiwan Banciao District Court. He is interested in commercial and business law.

Ms. Annie Jacob
India
Ms. Jacob earned her LL.B. from Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian Law College in Bangalore, India. She has also earned a diploma in Cyber Law. Ms. Jacob has worked at Markos & Co Advocates as a legal associate. She is interested in corporate law.

Mr. Rasim Ahmet Kahraman
Turkey
Mr. Kahraman earned his LL.B. from Selcuk University. He has worked as an attorney for the Serbetci Law Office. Mr. Kahraman enjoys soccer, movies, swimming, basketball, and music. He is interested in international and European Union Law.

Mr. Jin-Kyu Lee
Korea
Mr. Lee earned his Ph.D. in International Law from the Graduate School of Hanyang University, in Seoul Korea. He has worked as a Research Fellow for the Research Center for International Litigation & Arbitration in Hanyang University. Mr. Lee also served as a part-time lecturer at the College of Law & Politics in Kwandong University. He is interested in international business and antitrust law.

Mr. Xiang Li
China
Mr. Li earned his LL.B. from China University of Political Science and Law. He has worked as a corporate lawyer for Bejing Ideal World Culture, Co., and he has interned on the Economic Court of the People's Court of Beijing Haidian District. Mr. Li enjoys soccer, bicycling, traveling, and computer maintenance. He is interested in contracts, corporate law, and intellectual property.

Mr. Antonio Longo
Italy
Mr. Longo earned his LL.B. from Bocconi University School of Law in Milan and is currently taking a Master of Science in law at the same university. Before joining the LL.M. Program he spent a semester at the University of Minnesota Law School as an exchange student. Mr. Longo is interested in studying comparative private law, international business law and corporate law.

Ms. Pimonpun Meethissom
Thailand
Ms. Meethissom earned her LL.B. from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. She has worked as a Carrier & Operator Management Officer for the Agreement Analysis section of AIN GlobalComm Co., Ltd. Ms. Meethissom has also worked as a Research Assistant for the Ministry of Justice. She is interested in civil procedure and business law.

Ms. Jian Mu
China
Ms. Mu earned her LL.M. in International Law and her LL.B. from Jilin University. She has worked as an Associate Attorney for Haiwen & Partners in Beijing and Shanghai, China since 2001. Ms. Mu advised Yahoo! in adopting a partnership agreement with Alibaba. She is interested in studying corporate and securities law.

Ms. Violet Odala
Malawi
Ms. Odala earned her LL.M. in Human Rights Law from the University of Nottingham and earned her LL.B. from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. She has worked as a Senior State Advocate for the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs in Malawi. Ms. Odala is interested in human rights and international law.

Ms. Hui-Yun Peng
Taiwan
Ms. Peng earned her LL.B. from National Taipei University. She has worked as a lawyer for Tatone International Law Offices in Taipei, Taiwan. Ms. Peng has also clerked for the Taiwan Taoyuan District Court. She hopes to study international law.

Mr. Jorge Enrique Reategui
Peru
Mr. Reategui obtained a J.D. equivalent degree and his LL.B. from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He has worked as a Legal Researcher for the Institute for Liberty and Democracy. He was also a faculty member in the Law Department of the Peruvian University of Applied Science. He is interested in real estate, business, and administrative law.

Ms. Ruchita Sethi
India
Ms. Sethi earned her LL.B. from South Calcutta Law College. She has also earned a certificate in Cyber Law from the Global School of Technology Jurisprudence. Ms. Sethi has worked as an Advocate for V. Bhatia & Associates, where she provided legal advice, drafted legal documents, and represented clients. She is interested in studying intellectual property.

Mr. Koichi Shimizu
Japan
Mr. Shimizu earned his LL.B. from Osaka University. He worked in the Head Office of the Legal Division of Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. in Tokyo, Japan. He is interested in studying corporate, antitrust, and product liability law.

Mr. Korir Sing'Oei
Kenya
Mr. Sing'Oei was a Humphrey Fellow from 2007-2008. He earned his LL.M. in international human rights law and democratization in Africa from the University of Pretoria, and he earned his LL.B. from the University of Nairobi. Mr. Sing'Oei founded the Centre for Minority Rights Development and has served as its Executive Director since 2001. He is interested in studying international human rights law.

Ms. Tipanan Sirichana
Thailand
Ms. Sirichana earned her LL.B. from Chulalongkorn University. She has worked as Legal Officer for The Stock Exchange of Thailand, where she provided legal advice for business matters. Ms. Sirichana is interested in studying business law.

Ms. Huei-Ling Tsai
Taiwan
Ms. Tsai earned her LL.B. from National Taipei University. She also earned a Certificate in International Business Administration from National Chiao Tung University and the International Trade Institute. Ms. Tsai has worked as a Legal Assistant for Chien Yeh Law Offices. She is interested in studying business and commercial law.

Ms. Ejia Warma
Finland
Ms. Warma earned her LL.B. from the University of Lapland. She has worked as an associate lawyer and the Head of Information Services at Castrén & Snellman Attorneys Ltd. Ms. Warma is interested in studying data protection and privacy law.
