Bruce J. ShniderDistinguished Visiting ProfessorDartmouth College, A.B. Professor Bruce J. Shnider teaches individual and corporate taxation law. He is of counsel in Dorsey's Tax Practice Group, and advises in the area of federal income taxation, including executive compensation, structured financing and securitizations, and mergers and acquisitions. Professor Shnider provides general tax advice to several investment banking companies, venture capital funds, financial institutions and public companies. Professor Shnider is admitted to practice in Minnesota, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the United States Tax Court. He has been named one of the Best Lawyers in America (Tax) for more than ten years, and has received the Ten Year Service Award from the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals. Professor Shnider is former President of both the Emergency Food Shelf Network and the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals, Twin Cities Chapter, and he continues to serve on both Boards. He is a member of the tax sections of the American Bar Association and the Minnesota Bar Association. Professor Shnider also served on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Justice Foundation from 1989-1991. |
