Clinical Professor Carl M. Warren is recognized for his work in clinical instruction. He teaches in the Law School's civil practice clinic.

Professor Warren received his B.A. degree from St. Olaf College and his J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. After graduating from law school in 1975, he served as a trial attorney for the Minnesota Attorney General's Office in the Public Utilities Division and then in the Human Rights Division. He was acting manager of the Human Rights Division for two years.

Professor Warren joined the clinical faculty at the University of Minnesota Law School in 1990. As faculty advisor to the Law School's Civil Rights Moot Court, he oversees the Law School's William E. McGee National Civil Right's Moot Court Competition. He previously taught sex discrimination law as an adjunct professor at Hamline University School of Law. He has lectured at numerous continuing legal education programs.
