The Law School welcomes the Class of 2009. From August 30-September 1, students will participate in orientation activities. The class includes 255 students from 28 states and 5 foreign countries.
August 22, 2006
In Fall 2006, the Law School will add a 19th clinic, the Consumer Protection Clinic. Under the direction of Prentiss Cox, students will represent clients regarding marketplace fraud and consumer protection disputes.

The National Science Foundation awarded the Consortium on Law and Values in Health, Environment & the Life Sciences a 4-year, $1.22 million grant to develop oversight models for nanotechnology.

Edward "Dan" Robinson was featured in an article about his development of Intuit's Medical Expense Manager. His work with patient outreach groups and Intuit customers led him to join our Class of 2007.

The University of Minnesota Law School is delighted to announce a new Study Abroad exchange partnership with the University of Montevideo School of Law, Uruguay, commencing Fall 2006.

The Law School has completed its first J.D. Summer Program in Beijing. While in China, J.D. students studied comparative economic law, Mandarin Chinese, and the Chinese economic, legal, and political systems.
