UMN JLI Symposium: Civil Rights and Civil Justice: Fifty Years Later

When: 8:45 AM - 4:15 PM
Where: Room 25
More Info: http://www.law.umn.edu/lawineq/symposiummain/october-2013.html

The Journal of Law & Inequality would like to extend a warm invitation to the University of Minnesota Law School community for our 2013 Symposium Civil Rights & Civil Justice: 50 Years Later, honoring and featuring Vice President Mondale. This year's symposium celebrates and critiques the legacy of two momentous events during 1963-64: Gideon v. Wainwright and the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Joining us is a terrific roster of seventeen faculty from across the country, including our Professors Jessica Clarke and June Carbone, and Professors Wolf, Orfield, Kappelhoff, and Stein as moderators. Vice President Mondale and Professor Yale Kamisar (Univ. of Michigan) will deliver a keynote arm-chair lecture over the lunch hour.

We encourage you to join us.
