Linda Hughes is the Electronic Resources and Acquisitions Librarian. She oversees the Law Library Acquisitions Department, primarily managing electronic resources licensed by the Law Library, as well as other complex acquisitions in all formats. Her work supports the Law Library’s collection development strategy and budget. She also collaborates with colleagues at the University of Minnesota Libraries regarding electronic resources with campus-wide access.
Hughes earned her B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and her M.L.I.S. with a concentration in Information Organization from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She joined the Law Library Acquisitions Department in 2016.
Hughes is a member of and serves on multiple committees for the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) and its Technical Services Special Interest Section (TS-SIS), as well as the Minnesota Association of Law Libraries (MALL).
